24 New Student Rental Units Coming to Edmonton

The Educated Investor is partnering with Alberta-based developer Cormode & Dickson to construct four sixplex rental buildings on 105 Street, Edmonton.

​These will be purpose-built rentals, creating modern and affordable housing for students at the nearby Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) polytechnic campus. The NAIT campus is just a short walk away.

Up to four residential lots in downtown Summerland, British Columbia will be consolidated into a single land parcel. Multiple six storey rental apartment buildings will built on the site with a one storey parking garage underneath.  Each unit will have one to two bedrooms, or one bedroom plus den. Many of the apartments will be specifically designed to accommodate older citizens by including special-needs features such as handrails, wider doors, and robust backing in ceilings and walls for bed-lifts.
 
On-site ambulatory health care provided by a registered nurse dedicated to the facility. Riverbrook Estates is 27.5 acres of undeveloped land in Kitimat, BC.

The proposed plan is to subdivide the 27.5 acres into five separate parcels and to sell these parcels to developers who will construct residential housing. Kitimat is a coastal town in northern British Columbia undergoing transformational change. Liquid natural gas (LNG) storage and export terminals are being built, allowing LNG to be piped from Alberta to the BC coast, and then to the world.

​Phase one of the $40-billion LNG Canada project is projected to be completed in 2025. The Kitimat terminal will create many new jobs for LNG staff and those workers will need a place to live. This project will feed into that demand.

The Orchards is a relatively new neighbourhood in the Ellerslie area of south east Edmonton that was established in 2007. It's quiet setting with a community hall, picturesque walking paths, and a strong sense of community.

The Orchards at Ellerslie is close to all amenities and is just a short drive to the airport, as well as the rejuvenated Ice District in downtown Edmonton where the storied Edmonton Oilers National Hockey League franchise plays. This project features the construction of 32 modern townhomes.
